TT Combat at UK Games Expo? (1st to 3rd June)

PostTue May 15, 2018 5:28 pm

As you know, I refuse to use social media platforms.

So, I see troll Trader have a pitch at the uk games expo; but no mention of ttcombat - will they have a retail store and staff on hand to answer dropzone related questions??

A bit disappointed with the ttcombat stand at Expo. A couple of volunteers showing dropzone and dropfleet- who didn't have much insider knowledge and no Dave!

Dropzone blisters a bit limited too, had to buy my new scourge units off my FLGS after the event!

Some nice terrain though on show!

Troll Trader is TTCombat basically.
Sorry to hear you didn't like what you could get.
On BoW it looked like they had a big stand.
Must be a big difference with them also selling other games.

Got any pictures of the terrain?

Sorry no photos.

Yeah, terrain nice and some suited nicely to dropzone. But I was after some specific scourge units.

Also, with the excitement of version 2, it would have been great to have had Dave or other rules writers / play testers on the stand to discuss it - and our own beta "play testing" out in the wider world. I just think that was a big PR and feedback opportunity missed by ttcombat.

The volunteers on the dropzone and dropfleet stands were good guys but didn't have any insider knowledge and drop fleets small stand was really overshadowed hy the massive "Red Alert" space game stand next door.
