Walkers line of sight

PostTue Feb 07, 2017 10:22 am

As walkers have a view from an elevated position can they target units which are behind other non walker units. Say two Shaltari Tomahawks line astern, can I target the back one as well as the front one.

You draw your line of sight from the center of the main body. So yes, if the angle is right and you can see more then 10% of the unit you can shoot

You can also shoot through the legs of a walker.

I'm not sure you can shoot thru the legs of a Shaltari warstrider, but if you did, I'd give the target Hull Down...

I learned the hard way that you can't park a tank between the legs of a warstrider.

This was answered by Simon at LVO 2016- it's all True Line of Sight, so if the shooting model can see the target model between legs you can shoot it. If it can see more than 50% of it then there's no Hull Down.

There was a huge discussion, pics and all last year before Gen Con I think.

[Tomahawk] [Warstrider] [Ares] The pics showed a clear LOS to the Ares and it took quite sometime but yes, you can shoot. I think everyone thought the Warstrider sat on an invisible "base" that fully blocked LOS.
