The Abyssal Fleet

PostFri Mar 02, 2018 6:18 pm

Hi My name is Urion. I have just started Dropfleet Command. I bought my first minis last week. This is my progress so far. I have 6 more cruisers and 8 more frigates to put together and paint. Even though I love the studio paint scheme I wanted mine to look more like a shoal of phosphorescent undersea predators.

I just want to say again, I think this is an excellent concept. I'd love to see more images. I think I spot some neon green on the Battlecruiser, and I think that contrast could be explored a lot more to good effect.

This scheme is both incredibly menacing and thematic. Really well done! I may use this for inspiration when/if I get around to painting my own scourge ships. I do agree with Gauntlet that a bit more of the neon green for contrast would be a great touch and really drive the concept home - its a common color in bio-luminescent critters. Thanks for sharing.

Here's a great image I found showing both colors prominently (from ScienceBlog -
