Any tips on removing a superglued weapons?

PostTue Apr 04, 2017 9:49 pm

I've already glued together my initial Scourge cruisers from my 2 player starter kit, but now I want to go back magnetize them =/. Does anyone know any easy way to remove the mouth weapons and/or heavy cruiser crown? I have plenty of spares of the weapons and crown, so i don't really care if the originals get destroyed in the process.

These models are so tiny, it's going to be rough. You might have some luck sticking the model in the freezer - cold degrades the superglue bond. When I strip models in simple green or other solvents, it sometimes destroys the glue as well.

Ive done this and it wasnt pretty. Especially the scourge cruiser weapons with their shape.

I used a dremel to grind away bit by bit of the glued weapon. Which was a fairly quick ordeal to be honest!
