Klarg1's Prototype Scourge Fleet

PostWed Dec 07, 2016 8:04 pm

With my Dropfleet pledge in-hand, I've been tinkering around with possible paint schemes. So far, this one is my favorite, so I'm pushing forward with a complete Starter fleet to try out the game, and (eventually) run demos:

The base color involves a lot of air brushing to establish the basic tone and color variation, and then I followed it up with a whole bunch of detail work to pick out the weapons, spines, etc. Anybody have any thoughts? There's still time for revisions and tweaks.

Thanks. I plan to!

I'll try to get an update posted once I have a complete starter fleet painted. (I'm hoping to finish up my Shenlong tonight, then just two more frigates to go!)

Nice!

I find it eerie how close our fleets will look...

The more the merrier I say! I've got my first starter box all painted up, and ready to go now.

I'm starting to think of it as the Scourge "Ghost Fleet" scheme:

Also, as a bonus, I last night, I started playing around with a Dropzone scheme based on my new Dropfleet squadron:
