Music

Just cuz'....

What kind of music do you guys listen to?

Me? I currently like to listen to folk mostly.
Recently got the new Mumford and Sons album. Love them.
We also got the latest Laura Marling album, which I am going to listen to in a bit. We had one of her previous albums and I think she's great.
I've got both Radical Face albums. Great artist.
Angus and Julia Stone, while not nearly my favourite, have got a cool sound too.

And every now and again I do like me some rock music. Mostly Foo Fighters and we just got an album from a Dutch band which, if you're into rock, you should definitely check out, called Kensington. Great stuff!

So, what else? And if you're into folk, any artists I should check out?

Mumford and Sons are totaly awesome. ;)

Besides that, I listen to a lot of rockabilly and blues. While playing tabletops, it's sometimes great to listen to movie soundtracks.

Mostly heavy metal (such as Avenged Sevenfold, Sabaton, Amon Amarth etc.) as well as quite a lot of classical (Holst, Grieg, Elgar etc.) and film/game music (Malukah/Skyrim songs, Jurassic Park, Supreme Commander, PIrates of the Caribbean)

So, a wide variety of music, but not including any of these terrible "popular" songs

I don't live in the US, so I can't listen to Songza.

Yeey for freedom... O_o

On a related note, for anyone into electronic music such as trance or techno, www.di.fm is absolutely great!!
However, I do believe their android app is linked to dubious material, so don't download that.

Then you should definitely check out di.fm. I love it, 24/7 pretty much every type of electronic music. I found out about some pretty cool styles through it.

I love any rock or related to rock music, specially Blues, Bluegrass, Jazz, Folk and when I'm in the mood weird stuff like psichodellic rock (the Mars Volta) and alternative rock or metal (Tool, Muse, A perfect Circle), some times I even listen to Deathclock

Right now I'm listening a lot to The Devil Makes Three, Johnny Cash, Old Crow Medicine Show and Howlin' wolf, also quite frequently The Black keys. There's also a "frontier folk or rock" acoustic group from Spain which I recommend everyone, Arizona Baby! they are quite good:

When my girl is around the tunes go more R&B (the classic not today's bulls**t) with Aretta, Etta, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, Ray Charles, Lil Richie, Chubby Checker...

And of course love me some good classics like Rolling Stones, CCR, The Eagles...

Man music is so good :)

Iron Maiden
The Police
Jamiroquai
Jive Aces
Beethoven

I will listen to other stuff though.
