SCOLDZAP now on LGPL

Hey Dropzoners,

After realizing I've been swamped with work and not making some much needed updates to SCOLDZAP, I've decided to release it under the LGPL!

If you have a Github account, you can grab a working copy of the code here:
https://github.com/malusdei/scoldzap

Just a note, that builder.php is normally a symlink to index.php. (The link was called builder in its early days, but then eventually I wanted it to be the default.) They are the same file.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Solomon Chang

Does this mean you are abdicating your responsibility for maintaining your s/w? :( :x

What is "LGPL"?

When will you have your version on SCOLDZAP fixed and current?

Thank you.

I had questions, so I asked them... 8-)

Means it's an open license. People can make changes, put their names on the changes, and check them back into the repository and I'll host the changes.

Kind of like Linux. We will always know Linus Torvalds as the guy who wrote the initial base, but now there's more code written by other people than what he did.

Basically, if other people want to help make updates, or hell even use this to learn CSS/JQuery/AJAX/JSON/PHP/MySQL, I will be happy to explain how various parts work.

Hi Tenebris, any plans to host the code? If not I can have a look at hosting it somewhere.

Would be nice to get SCOLDZAP back up and running again (hint-hint!)...

Could you add some notes to the Readme about what versions of various things one needs to run it? I could probably host, but I don't want to end up in php/mysql version hell.

It's back up and running. Solomon got it straightened out. But, thanks!
