Fun name ideas/ship variants for UCM BC

PostFri Mar 02, 2018 7:16 pm

Just was thinking about some variants...

Building on the Avalon/Atlantis theme... we could have the...

Asgard
---Atlantis chassis with gun battery, but uses the gun wings of the Avalon... for just all guns all the time...

Aztlan (or El-Dorado perhaps)
---Atlantis lower gun battery, replacing guns with bombardment turrets. Atlantis carrier/gun wings.

Archangel
---Heavy Cruiser chassis, uses the Atlantis Carrier/Gun wings. Plays same as a Atlantis obviously.

Camelot
---Heavy Cruiser chasis, St. Pete burn throughs top and bottom, and Avalon gun wings... play as a Avalon obviously.

Valhalla
---Heavy Cruiser chasis, Troop Transport module underslung, standard gun batteries on top and Gun wings of the Avalon.

Just thought I'd share... I've mostly magnetized my UCM and I have parts for two Atlantis and two Avalon so I'm having some fun imagining :)

Hah, I'd take an Asgard for the pure guns!

Also, instead of Archangel, I'd recommend Arcadia or Agartha instead, just to keep with the whole "mythical city/place" theme.

Oh, fun. I'll play. I like the idea that the UCM tried a bunch of BC formats before settling on the Perth & Jo-berg, leaving a bunch of experimental one-offs.

Shangri-La
---Atlantis gun/carrier wings, and a bunch of Piranha CAW turrets (F/S/R) - 2D6+4 or so, maybe? The basic idea is to burn like hell for the nearest group of bad guys and just make a big 'ol mess. Probably wouldn't survive long, but it should make an impression.
Artillery adds dignity to what would otherwise be a vulgar brawl.

Heavy Cruiser Variants:

Novgorod: Moscow/St. Pete hybrid... has some turrets and a burnthrough.
Vladivostok: Burnthrough up top, troop bay on bottom
Volgograd: Turrets up top, bombardment on bottom
