In real life monitors are heavily armored, very slow gun slugs used to deny strategic waterways to the enemy. So for DfC I would assume they do the same - deny the enemy the ability to place strategic forces.

I would assume they would ride the atmo line to prevent a fleet from simply thrashing them if they came upwell. Which I assume would be an option for them - no reason they could not be used for station defense also.

And dreadnoughts... oh my.... that will probably be a $70+ mini I would think
