Voidgate relocation to/from spacestations

Hi all,
Im wondering if that is possible to relocate tokens to/from space station? as per rules on page 197:

"Ground asset tokens in Sector within 3inch of a Voidgate in Atmosphere may be moved to another sector within 3inch of another Voidgate in Atmosphere anywhere else on the table."

As it is written its doesn't even supposes that this can be done with space stations, as Voidgates must be in Atmosphere. I also did not found anything about it in FAQ, so it is written correctly.
So why do people do this in battle reports and suggest new players to do so?

It was corrected in the first errata:

They fixed the wording to clarify that Voidgates can function in Low Orbit when the target is a space station.
