Dropzone Writing

As mentioned in our monthly writing challenge, we've had people on this forum and in person ask us about writing, writing for Hawk and just having fun and creating worlds themselves for others, campaigns or army background.

While we don't endorse this as canon, we encourage people to flex their creative muscles, try things out, and flesh out the background of their armies/the battlegrounds they are fighting for! Who knows, we may even make it canon if it's really good :)

This is a place for creative posts, and we encourage comments, but please remember that creating anything like this is a labour of love - keep all comments constructive and friendly.

This is awesome. Tahk s for helping us as a community get it started James.

Who knows, we may even make it canon if it's really good.

This is even better. Especially considering most other companies approaches to fan generated content.

There must be endless millions of Scourge civilians, running a complex and advanced society with star faring technology, right? I'd love to see the game background go further with Scourge rather than the "mysterious bad guys parasites who no one understands".

How did I miss this?

I have been in a bit of a creative rut with my Dropzone Commander puppets, and this may well be what gets me back into the flow, trying to tie my factions into the universe... And hopefully become canon one day. :D

Really like and applaud Hawks stance on this. With so much left to be explained, Its been really fun and interesting reading how other people have written their take on the dropzone universe. And asking the community for written pieces in competitions is a delicious icing on the cake.

I'm pretty much a scourge when it comes to writing. A parasite that nests in someone elses genre.
