Say what? ... Must have missed that info. CONGRATULATIONS

Did it come prepainted? What color scheme? Sometimes moms choose a black color scheme. Looks lovely, but difficult to explain to their husbands if rosy white was expected by them...

No primer suprise ! And all the parts were on the sprue... ;)

LOL!

After a long break I finished a few models that needed only some finishing :

I used citadel nuln oil gloss shade, it is expensive but it flows very nicely into the recesses.

Glad to see you're back, Abrusio! Have you slept at all since December? I hear working on 1:1 scale projects can be extremely challenging.

I've been following your work for a long time and hope you plan on doing more PHR in that color scheme. The Juno is just plain sick.

How do you know about the Sabre MBT I am building in my attic... Oh right you are talking about my other 1:1 project !

Sleep is overrated anyway ! (or not...) ;)

Thank you ! Coming from Nodri the "lava master" himself it means a lot... :) That yellow juno is a test subject for my (soon, I hope) future dropfleet PHR fleet. I did a little NMM on the turret, because why not ? But well it is slow, so I may be just doing metal the old fashion way.

You're using that scheme for Dropfleet?! Niiiiiice!

Your juno made me think of an antique sports car. Clean, classy, with minimal fussy details and high contrast. I would love to see it applied to the PHR Dropfleet force. I did some digging through google, and this image best matches my impression of your Juno.

Run with your idea. It'll be awesome!

That almost looks like the style Hawk have used for their cars. I love it actually.

A quick update on my painting tests while waiting for dropfleet to arrive :)

Airbrushing several model with vallejo game colors.

Image

Base color is done. Yellow is a hard color to do right...

Image

Some details to finish (optics). Sun yellow, golden yellow, moon yellow (vallejo game air), white, steel (vallejo model air), nuln oil gloss, rakan flesh gloss, agrax earth gloss (citadel).

12 more technicals to test the vallejo game colors with the airbrush.

Thank you Mike !

A few more models for my yellow PHR. I tested the citadel spiritstone range, and I am not convinced : in my opinion, the blue is too dark, the green not enough, haven't tested the red yet. But I am happy with how the yellow is looking on those models.

Then, I worked on my shaltari, they were waiting since christmas for the brush work ! Coyote, Birdeaters and Kukris are done. Dreamsnare and another Jaguar next.

A few things taken from the "grey box" but there is still a lot to do ! (and more things to go into it when phase 2 and wave 3 will arrive, not even mentionning dropfleet)

Now it is time to take a break : just a few days far from my brushes and minis...
