Mr Mee's Dropzone Blog - MOAR SCOURGE!!!

PostMon Feb 09, 2015 2:32 am

Warning, the project in this thread my never get completed..... For those of you who have looked at my Shaltari thread you will know that I take forever to paint my own stuff, this project will be even worse ;)

With that being said, RESISTANCE!!!!!!

Being left out of all the Invasion fun has 'forced' me to get a new faction since I already have nearly everything for Shaltari. So, I would like to show you what color scheme I am going to be replicating to start with, then my progress.

Image

What? I felt like a challenge 8-)

In all seriousness though, I am going to be 'trying' so copy the scheme and getting it as good as how the pro's did it. There are a few bits on the models that I am going to struggle on and it's going to be hard but I'm willing to step up and force my way through this one. As I said before don't expect up-dates every week or so, I don't paint my own stuff that much as it is, never mind painting it to this standard, it's going to take ages.

And how far have I got, well I'm glad you asked.

Image

Yeah........ Well I built one :? Going to be a bit busy with work for the next few weeks, I'll try and do an hour a day on the army.

With all that said, wish me luck and I'll cya's all in a month ;-)

Well i got some work done on my Lift Hawk today, not much but a start. Got the first layer of grey on and a pre-shade.

I think I need to go back and make the pre-shade stronger but it's a start at least.

Storming progress by your standards, Mr. Mee. I'm very much looking forwards to seeing how these come out.

Cheers Ruarl, I'm looking forward to getting this lift hawk done :D

I got Golem Gary to help me enhance the pre-shade, I'm quite pleased with the results.

Awww, thanks Gary xx

So I made a big leap in progress(for Mee) the other night, got all of the Chrome painted onto the Lift Hawk. It's looking good up to now, although very time consuming

Hello again, got the wash onto my Lift Hawk now, that was a scary process, had to whack the wash on until the model was dripping  It turned out well though 8-)

I also did some highlighting and base coated the rusty armour panels, hope you enjoy.

It is coming along really nice.
Out of curiosity what brand of wash did you use and did you thin it?

I like that colour scheme, especially because it is also the "official" colours of all the military buildings, such as the orbital laser and hangar. I'd probably go for the same colours for the military if I were to start a Resistance army.
