Im sloooowly working on my Dropfleet UCM ships at the moment, or rather, when I get a decent spare block of time. Pretty simple scheme: Prime/Base with Army Painter Uniform Grey spray, wash with a 50/50 mix of Nuln Oil and Lahman Medium, Dry brush all over with the Badger airbrush paint (can never remember the name!!!

Begins with an "M", they make the ghost tints) Badger Fur, then another dry brush of Concrete Grey which is a slightly lighter grey in the same Badger line (I might have those backwards, but I don't think so -- 1:23 AM recollections, and my paints are in the trunk of my car) just at the very leading edges on the top. Then I'm picking out panels with Pumpkin Orange (Badger again). I'll use a bright blue as a spot color on some of the doo-dads that stick out that look like they'd light up. Vallejo metallic on the guns and other appropriate metal parts with Nuln Oil/Lahman Medium on those. Basically the same approach as my Dropzone PHR, but less attention to making them
perfect -- I like that orange-and-blue on grey scheme a lot, and someone else painted my Dropfleet PHR, really nicely, but in a completely different scheme, and I figure the grey works for Colonial fleet ships.
I've also got my Dropzone UCM that I need to get a-going on, too. But we'll be starting a Dropfleet Escalation League on June 10th, and I'm going to be doing Shaltari for that, embracing my inner hedgehog. LOL. No idea how I'll paint those, but it might force me to finally bust out the airbrush and fire up that new compressor with tank that I got three years ago and have never used.
How's that for a status report? Ha!
