It's not much

But it's a start!

After stalling for like, a year (funny how moving across town to a fixer-upper will take away your free time) I finally decided that I'd start to paint up my starter armies... yes, I have the battle box and the plastic PHR kit, too. Scourge is not my favorite, so I just wanted to bust them out and get something anything on them. Mostly just a few layered washes and some quick drybrushing, and then some really rough highlights. A few hours on the vehicles and a few on the infantry (I'm not done with them yet, as I still want to do some more work on the bases. Next I have the UCM all assembled and primed, and I might spend a little more effort on them, but it's all a workup towards the PHR waiting on my shelf.

Hopefully I can get a head of forward momentum and not take another year for the next step.

And wow I'm gonna have to figure out a better way to get my photos up here so they're not so freakin' huge, but one step at a time here.

Not much? I think you're off to a wonderful start.

The image hosting site you use probably has an option for auto-shrinking your pictures. Otherwise, you could use GIMP, a free alternative to Photoshop, to change the image size that way.

Ok I'll try my old Picasa instead of Imgur with the next pic.

I think I'm willing to call these little dudes done and move on to the UCM. Think I spent as much time basing them as I did everything else, vehicles included... but I was experimenting with a container of "Martha Stewart Stucco Paint Effect" that I like, it gives it a bit of texture without being as HUGE as most other stuff is with 10mm.

Nice!...
I love my job (well, I love having a job), but a bad day of gaming beats a good day of work every time!
