Lee's UCM Taskforce

PostTue Jun 16, 2015 4:52 pm

OK, so Ive been beavering away on my UCM for a little while now and I thought it would be nice to have a central place to put all of my images of the completed UCM assets that I have for the game so I thought this could be it... especially as I have also decided to put the images into the monthly competition as well

So, my UCM task force is being built to be as diverse as possible in order that I can try out different things and tailor my approach to my opponent

So essentially this is just going to be a dump for images of all of my assets and a place to check out my colour schemes that I try out...

So here we go:

They're too bland. No detail at all.... BWAHAHAHA

Superb!

LOL. Bland? I think you are overlooking all of the bits that are camoflaged. You may have missed those bits cos they blend them into the background LOL :D

Thanks for the compliments you guys. Glad you like them.

Big fan of those guys! Camo's always a tough thing for models, as one doesn't want to obscure detail with designs meant to obscure! But these are just excellent, my personal favorite UCM yet.

Hey Killionaire,

I couldn't agree more. When I first set out on this odyssey I didn't intend to do any outlining or anything like that as I thought it would just be too much work and I was going to settle just for the airbrushed patterns with a bit of chrome here and there...

BUT the chrome looked bloody awful, and the colours looked like they were the My Little Pony of the 27th Century so I decided to take the plunge by dirtying and unifying all of the colours using Filters and Washes which worked to a point but it left the urban patterns almost non distinct...thats when I decided that if I was ever going to be satisfied I needed to separate the colours from each other with clear borders.

I have to say that I am REALLY happy with the results but Oh... My... God!!!! Never again! LOL
