Big Mac RESISTS

PostWed Aug 12, 2015 3:44 pm

Hello everybody!

After many, many months of interest, my local gaming group has jumped into Dropzone Commander and I have followed.

Looking over the different Factions, I was initially torn between UCM and Shaltari... but then Mad Max: Fury Road came out, and my fate was sealed. The Resistance! Beautiful models, huge variety and the endless conversion possibilities. Some of my favourite models in the entire range belong to the Resistance - the Hellhog, Cyclones, Lifthawks, M3 Alexander...

Anyway, I have been collecting the Resistance for a couple of months now, and recorded a great deal of my progress on my blog here - http://fullsd.blogspot.co.uk/search/lab ... 0Commander

Now I have been (finally) allowed access to this forum, I thought it was about time to post some pictures. Comments always welcome, and please check out the blog for more!

Oooh yes, this isn't even the full 1,500pts.

Lots more "civilian" stuff on the way soon - Technicals, etc. The big pile of twenty four on my painting table is looking pretty imposing though.

Okay, first: Those look amazing.

Second: Where are the rusted out chassis on the scenic bases from, and what scale are they?

The rusted and burnt out cars on the scenic bases are n-gauge (1:160) cars from model train sets. I picked them up off eBay, and was lucky to find some basic car bodies without windows. I imagine you can push out the windows from the plastic ones though. I will be picking up some more n-gauge stuff for other conversions, it works really well with a rusted paint job!

Progress! I've now painted a third Cyclone to finish my 1,500pt army. Of course, since I started painting my list has changed, so I need to paint even MORE stuff now...

To distract from painting, I have been working on a big conversion for my "civilian" Resistance forces - the mighty WAR RIG

Looking forward to painting this one!
