Ok thanks for pointing out this!
Tomorrow I'll do the demo in our local game store. I absolutely don't want to give a randomness first impression ( often, such as in life, we have no second chance to do a good first impression...) so what do you suggest? My idea is to play the introductory scenario but I don't want in the end to give the idea of a game where is only important to roll a 4+...

You could change a objective to a critical location in the centre building.

Starting at the end of turn 2 You get 1vp for it then when you have the most points in units with in 3" of it. Infantry count dubble if they are in the building. Aircraft don't count. This goes on until the final turn.
If it is an exact draw no one scores a VP that turn.

So this gives you 2 x objetives (VP 2-4) and 1x critical location (VP 5)

How does that sound mister Welch?

I'm J.D., Commander. Got there first. ;)

I'd just play the regular scenario for the demo game. It's small enough that it works fine to get the major ideas of the game across. Might be too daunting to try to introduce a Critical Location in a first-time-playing starter demo game.

Just as you usually don't get a second chance to make a good first impression, it's usually a good idea to Keep It Simple. ;)

(And I've got a story about getting a second chance to make a good impression that led to me getting my current job, but I won't bore you with the details...) :P
I love my job (well, I love having a job), but a bad day of gaming beats a good day of work every time!
